Toshiba Launches Industry's Smallest 1.3A LDO Regulator :

Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC)* today announced the introduction of the industry's smallest 1.3A output current CMOS low dropout (LDO) regulator: the TCR13AGADJ. Housed in a WCSP6F package, the TCR13AGADJ measures just 0.8mm x 1.2mm, with a maximum thickness of 0.33mm. These dimensions make it suitable for space-conscious applications.
The TCR13AGADJ has an industry-leading high typical ripple rejection ratio (90dB @Vout=0.9V, f=1kHz) which helps significantly reduce ripple noise from DC-DC converters and PMIC. Ripple noise is a common problem encountered by designers when attempting to supply power to camera and RF parts.
Toshiba's new LDO regulator can be used in a variety of applications that require stable output voltage at high output currents with low power consumption. These include Wi-Fi® chipsets for smartphones and tablets, as well as power supplies for cameras and RF modules. It can also be used in power supply control for wearable devices, notebook PCs, digital video cameras, storage products, and set-top boxes. By using an external bias power supply terminal (VBAT), the new regulator achieves a leading-class low typical dropout voltage of 92mV (@Vout=0.9V, Iout=1.0A). Maximum dropout voltage is rated at 163mV (@Vout=0.9V, Iout=1.0A).
